NFB Micro Grants

Neighborhood Food Builders Micro Grant Opportunity – Applications Due April 18th

Neighborhood Food Builders is excited to announce a $1,000 micro grant opportunity for community members who are actively working on a food-focused project that supports neighborhood wellness, food access, or entrepreneurship. This micro grant is designed to provide a financial boost to emerging and grassroots food initiatives led by individuals or small groups who are making a direct impact in their communities.

We’re seeking applications from current project leaders who are passionate about local food systems, whether you're growing food, preparing meals, educating others, or creating space for food-based community connection. If you’re already in motion and need funding to take your idea to the next level, this micro grant is for you.

The deadline to apply is April 18, 2025. Don’t miss this chance to fuel your work and grow your impact!

Application requirements

Have an active, food-related project currently in progress.

  1. Have completed the Neighborhood Food Champions program.

  2. Submit a simple budget outlining how the $1,000 grant will be used to support your project.

  3. Commit to a brief project update or reflection after the funds have been used.

Please note: Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive funding. All applications will be reviewed, and grants will be awarded based on alignment with program goals and available funds.
