WHAT IS CONNECTION 4 WELLNESS?
Connection 4 Wellness is a foundational program of the Centers of Wellness for Urban Women that supports women’s mental health through holistic, wrap-around services. Grounded in the 7 Dimensions of Wellness, the program connects women to education, resources, and community-based supports that address mental health alongside physical health, social connection, and economic stability.
We believe wellness does not happen in isolation. It happens when women are surrounded by coordinated care that meets real-life needs and supports long-term well-being.
Our Goals:
Improved mental health and wellbeing of women in our community
Reduction of stigma associated with mental health conversations and conditions
Improved understanding and utilization of community resources
Our strategy:
Working to normalize conversations about mental health and reduce the stigma of mental health conditions
Increasing access to opportunities to cultivate emotional well-being, social capital, economic stability, and balance the 7 Dimensions of Wellness.

Our Events & Programming
Calm the Chaos
An event, open to anyone, but intentionally dedicated to centering women and their experiences- Calm the Chaos creates the space to discuss mental health, learn and ask questions, practice mindfulness techniques, and connect with others . The Calm the Chaos event series was established in Spring 2022 to provide mental health and mindfulness education and build social capital of participants. The event format consists of a light community meal, a workshop or discussion about a mental health topic, and a beginner-friendly mindfulness session. Occasionally, there are other resources as well, such as Certified Health Navigators from Aspin that can talk with you about your health insurance options. Community Calm the Chaos Events take place twice per year. Check our social media and activities calendar for details!
